JUST BEE : Synopsis

The action takes place in 2006, in an urban environment, right in the middle of a big city. The film is in b/w. A young, elegant, svelte and lively blond woman is stuck in the crowd at rush hour. Lyrics of the song express the refusal to play any predisposed role he has to submit to in the name of the « good » functioning of society. They refer to the world of bees and to the specific role each bee is supposed to play. As the film transposes this to human society, it’s an allegory. The bee arrives in the second part of the film. It’s a 3D coloured bee that stands out against the b/w pictures. The emphasis is put on the emotional spirit of a human being. As well as on an original aesthetic, inspired by modern moving techniques (Pixar Studios) and classical German cinema (like the search for the sublime in Werner Herzog’s movies).
